PODCAST: Maeve Gilchrist '06

This Scottish songstress pushes the boundaries of the Celtic harp.

Singer, pianist, and celtic harp virtuoso Maeve Gilchrist ’06 grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she quickly established herself in the traditional music scene. As such she performed at the opening of the Scottish Parliament, the Celtic Connections Festival, and the International Edinburgh Harp Festival.

Gilchrist attended Berklee on a full scholarship and has toured internationally in support of a wide variety of music—jazz, classical, bluegrass, and traditional Celtic music.  

Currently an instructor in the String Department at Berklee, Gilchrist continues to tour locally and internationally.
