Berklee's first mandolin major makes his way in the world.

As Berklee's first-ever mandolin principal, Joe Walsh '07 toured nationally on behalf of the college, including a performance at the Kennedy Center and a concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame in honor of Earl Scruggs. Walsh currently teaches mandolin at Berklee, and tours with the internationally acclaimed bluegrass band the Gibson Brothers. He has toured with the indie-pop string band Joy Kills Sorrow (which he co-founded), Jonathan Edwards, and Darol Anger, and has played with artists as diverse as Emmylou Harris and John Scofield.
