Arrocha, a Presidential Scholar, began playing tenor sax in Panama at the late age of 14.

Arrocha began playing tenor saxophone at age 14 with the Gonzalillo, Panama high school band. Seeing the Panama Jazz Festival fueled his dreams. In 2007, he won a full scholarship to Berklee's Five-Week Summer Performance Program plus a Danilo Perez Foundation award. He then won a Presidential Scholarship.
