Venezuelan pianist and composer Leo Blanco blends his country's sound—a mixture of African and Spanish musical traditions—with years of experience and training as a jazz and classical musician. He is also a Berklee alumnus and faculty member.

"Serendipity" comes from his new CD, Africa Latina, on the Ayva Music label. The disc features a host of talented players, including guitarist Lionel Loueke, Antonio Sanchez, and Donny McCaslin.
