Berklee Celebrates Latin Culture
Annual event features renowned international artist, faculty members, alumni, and staff.
November 23, 2007
The Latin vibes were strong as bossa nova, tango, marimba, Afro-Brazilian music, and merengue filled Berklee as distinguished faculty, alumni, staff, and guest artists performed and offered advice during several concerts and clinics held the eighth annual Latin Culture Celebration.
The headliner was Brazilian singer and songwriter Rosa Passos, who spoke to students in classes, presented a clinic, and performed in the kick-off concert of the Sovereign Bank Music Series at Berklee.
Other highlights included a local Latin all-star concert dedicated to the memory of TV producer Natatcha Estébanez featuring faculty members and guests; and Casa Mendoza, directed by faculty member Victor Mendoza.
