CBS Focuses on
Turntablism at
Berklee

The national media spotlight shined on Berklee over the weekend when CBS Sunday Morning broadcast a story about turntablism and the college's new Turntable Technique lab. The story ran during yesterday's show.
During several days of filming on campus recently, the CBS crew interviewed Professor Stephen Webber, who teaches Turntable Technique; Executive Vice President Gary Burton; and a group of turntable students. The crew also filmed the Turntable Technique lab and meetings of The Turntablist Club at Berklee. The story, which ran nearly ten minutes long, also featured a brief interview with Grandmaster Flash.
The current semester marks Berklee's first official foray into teaching students the art of playing the turntable. The college has played host to several visiting artists in the field, including DJ Shadow and DJ Logic. For more information, please follow the links below.
