Berklee Scholarship Jazz Ensemble Plays on Sirius Satellite Radio, and at the Blue Note

On Monday, May 12, 2003, six students — the Berklee Scholarship Jazz Ensemble — taped a one-hour show for Sirius Satellite Radio in their state-of-the-art studios at Rockefeller Center, New York City.

Hosted by Matt Abramovitz, the program featured five songs performed live by the group, which headlined later that evening at the Blue Note Jazz Club, down in Greenwich Village. The program was heard by Sirius Satellite Radio subscribers across the U.S. and was also streamed on the Sirius website. The Berklee Scholarship Jazz Ensemble was directed by Associate Professor of Ensemble Dave Santoro.

This was the fifth consecutive year that a Berklee student group has performed at the Blue Note on the Monday after Commencement. For more information on this event, see the original press release.
