When you hear that a rock star is delivering a commencement address in the Boston area, you might find yourself assuming that he or she is speaking at Berklee. After all, David Bowie and Sting delivered commencement addresses here in the 1990s, and a few weeks ago, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, of Steely Dan, donned mortarboards and gowns as they accepted degrees along with the Berklee Class of 2001.
But yesterday, just across the river in Cambridge, Harvard University earned a spot in the rock history books when U2's charismatic lead singer, Bono, spoke to the ivy league school's graduating class. You can watch and listen to his fifteen-minute speech by following the link below.
