Dorm Sessions 7 is the 2010 compilation released by Berklee's student-run label Heavy Rotation Records (HRR). The album—a mix of rock, pop, Latin, country, r&b, hip-hop, and folk music by Berklee students and alumni—features Ann Driscoll, Jordan Tarrant, Liz Longley, Tin Soldier, Julia Easterlin, Liptease, Black Kettle, Tais Alvarenga and KR & the Future. All of the artists performed live at the CD release concert on February 10, 2010. Dorm Sessions 7 is the 12th HRR release since the label formed in 1995. Heavy Rotation Records is a class that gives music business/management majors at Berklee hands-on experience in running a record company. The student staff oversees all of the label's functions, including A&R, marketing, sales, touring, web development, media, and accounting. Find out more at the Heavy Rotation Records website. |
