Berklee has been recording and releasing the work of its student performers and composers since the 1950s, documenting the early work of future stars like Joe Zawinul and Arif Mardin (Jazz in the Classroom, Volume II); John Scofield (JITC, Vol. XIV); and Paula Cole (Studio Production Projects, 1988).
A quick listen to some recent sessions will tell you that Berklee students continue to perform and produce great recordings.
