Fitness Savings

1. Boston Kung Fu Tai Chi Institute  •  883 Boylston Street, Fourth Floor

Available to students only

For more than 20 years, Boston Kung Fu Tai Chi Institute has been instructing the Berklee community in tai chi, kung fu, and kickboxing. Boston Kung Fu Tai Chi invites students to enjoy the benefits of learning and practicing martial arts. Yoga and martial arts classes are also available. Located close to campus, students gain energy, focus, and clarity from the practice, which often then flows into their music.

2. Tennis & Racquet Club Fitness Center  •  939 Boylston Street, Ground Floor

Available to students, staff, and faculty

Conveniently located, this unlimited use cardiovascular fitness center offers weight training equipment and a personal trainer on the premises. Student hours are Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

3. The YMCA of Greater Boston Huntington Avenue Branch  • 316 Huntington Avenue

Available to students, staff, and faculty

YMCA Huntington Ave. holds monthly open houses for the Berklee community. Contact livewell@berklee.edu for exact dates and times. The YMCA offers great savings. Membership includes pool access at Chinatown Y, over 40 weekly group classes, a huge selection of strength training equipment, courts at Northeastern and Chinatown Y, and use of any of the Y's 14 facilities.

April open house dates: April 3, 4, 10, and 11 from 5:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m.

4. Healthworks for Women • Copley Square, 441 Stuart Street (closest location)

Available to students only

Wide a variety of classes offered, Healthworks for Women presents workout programs at your choice of four locations, including nearby 441 Stuart Street (Copley Square/Back Bay).
