Description

Berklee College of Music is looking for a talented Online Event Producer to help us educate tomorrow's music industry leaders. Under the supervision of the Chief Academic Officer/Dean of Continuing Education, the Online Event Producer is responsible for the successful design and delivery of live online learning events. Multifaceted experience in organizing and executing sychronous online events required in a digital media or distance education environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produce live online events and oversee an event production team.
• Organize and manage workflow before, during, and after events.
• Work with subject matter experts to determine the best format and materials needed for an event.
• Create compelling templates for subject matter experts to use in presenting their materials.
• Develop content in support of events, including graphics, audio, and video.
• Provide training and support to subject matter experts before and during events.
• Effectively moderate events, including monitoring and encouraging participation from attendees and culling best questions for the talent to address during the event.
• Provide necessary information and showcase material to the marketing team in order to promote events.
• Evaluate event effectiveness and refine material and approaches to delivery as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in digital media production, instructional technology, or related field required.
• At least two years experience in designing and delivering live online events.
• A solid understanding of live video, Web conferencing, and social networking technologies.
• Demonstrated experience designing graphics, audio, video, and other multimedia using tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Soundbooth, Final Cut Pro, Premiere, ScreenFlow, and Flash.
• Demonstrated experience working with talent to develop and deliver content.
• Demonstrated experience moderating dialog in a live event context.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a live event context.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously with great efficiency and attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work in a team-based, fast-paced atmosphere with high standards for quality, accuracy, and innovation.
• Knowledge of the music industry and music production technologies strongly preferred.
