Description

Berklee College of Music invites nominations and applications for a full-time faculty position in the Film Scoring Department. Reporting to the Chair of the Film Scoring Department, this faculty member will focus on teaching and enhancing curriculum in the study of composition, contemporary arranging, orchestration, production, and integration of music for visual media, focusing primarily on film and television. The start date for this position is September 1, 2010. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

The new faculty member will possess strengths in the following areas:
• Industry experience scoring and/or orchestrating for the visual media
• Wide-ranging familiarity with industry-related technology
• Experience in teaching and/or tutoring/mentorship
• Affiliation with relevant professional organizations
• Academic degree or equivalent professional experience
• Commitment to artistry, entrepreneurial innovation, diversity, integrity, and collegiality
