Aryn Michelle celebrates the release of her CD Lockless Heart with Katelyn Clampett and Dylan Galvin. Many listeners have described her style as alternative pop/rock with a flavor of country and a pinch of jazz.
Michelle, a native of Texas, began writing music at the age of 15 and now she just can’t stop. She’s thus far written, coproduced, and released seven indie demos of her own original material. She is a versatile singer/songwriter who writes all her own material, sings, and plays the piano and guitar.
After graduating from college in 2006, she took a year to work for AmeriCorps and focus on playing in venues, clubs, and festivals around Austin, Texas. She is currently pursuing a certificate from Berklee with an emphasis on songwriting while she performs around town with her Boston-based band.
At Berklee she has received the Scott Benson Award for songwriting, and has been selected to perform in several showcases. In 2008, ISSA chose Michelle as a finalist in the categories of Singer/Songwriter of the Year and Best New Artist. In May 2009 she will release her first professional album, which was produced by Phillip Ferrell.
