The third annual Curtain Up concert will feature songs by the winners of this year's Curtain Up Musical Theater Songwriting Contest, arranged and orchestrated by students in Musical Theater Arranging and Orchestration class. An entertaining revue of new material written and performed by the Broadway talent of tomorrow. Directed by faculty members Michael Wartofsky and Jeri Sykes.
The Berklee Musical Theater Club is proud to present Jonathan Larson's hit musical Rent to the Berklee community. Rent tells the story of a year in the life of a diverse group of friends and artists who are struggling to live in New York. It is a story of hopes and dreams, of friendship and of loss amid the chaos of AIDS in their community. This Tony Award–winning musical and winner of the Pulitzer Prize in Drama continues to rock its way into the hearts of audiences of all ages.
The musical is mounted by Berklee's Musical Theater Club.

A diverse cast of faculty, students, and special guests perform the theatrical songs of faculty member Michael Wartofsky, composer and sometime lyricist, whose musical theater collaborations include Car Talk: The Musical!, Cupcake: The Musical!, Running Back, The River Is Me, The Navigator, Friendship of the Sea, The Man in My Head, The Troubled Land, and The Big Cigar.
