With members from Turkey, Israel, Colombia, and Japan, Unlimited Perception offers a unique blend of microtones, lyrical melodies, and South American rhythms such as bambuco and cumbia. The band, established at Berklee College of Music in 2012, invites listeners to join a musical conversation that emphasizes improvisation and draws upon its members’ diverse roots to produce a harmonious, eclectic, and earthy sound.

This SOLD OUT concert, showcasing Alejandro Sanz's music as interpreted by Berklee students and faculty, will celebrate the presentation of his honorary degree from Berklee, and feature Sanz himself on selected songs. Sanz’s new album, La Música No Se Toca, is one of 2013’s best-selling albums and he has produced three consecutive No. 1 singles in Spain, Latin America, and the U.S. Sanz has won a total of three Grammy Awards and 16 Latin Grammy Awards, including three Latin Grammy Album of the Year Awards, a distinction no other artist can claim for that category. The concert is being presented by the Berklee Mediterranean Music Institute under the artistic direction of renowned producer Javier Limón with Oscar Stagnaro and will be arranged and conducted by Matthew Nicholl.
The Latin America Vive Music Festival will showcase different expressions of contemporary Latin American music in all its rich and diverse musical styles. This festival will shine a spotlight on student performance talent and new compositions, including an 11-piece band created specifically for this event. Latin America Vive is an initiative of Latin faculty members and the Latin American Music Business Association (LAMBA) and is part of the Latin Music Culture Celebration (LMCC) and Hispanic Heritage Month.
