Boston-based Perhaps released its debut album, Volume One, to critical acclaim in late 2012 and the band has toured the U.S. extensively in support of it. Combining elements of progressive rock, jazz, and classical music, the group focuses on intricate instrumental compositions against free improvisation. The core trio of bass, drums, and guitar is sporadically augmented by various brass, woodwind, and orchestral string instruments.
In 2013, Perhaps released a deluxe 180-gram white vinyl edition of Volume One through the pioneering Norwegian record label Origo Sound. Perhaps will continue to tour through all of 2013, including a tour with the space rock pioneers Hawkwind. Its debut album is currently available for download via their official website: http://www.perhaps.bandcamp.com/
"Boston's Grass Is Green hearken back to a time when the lines between post-hardcore and indie rock weren't so clearly defined. Listening to their 2012 album, Ronson, and split 7" with Two Inch Astronaut, both out on Exploding In Sound Records (Pile, Speedy Ortiz), you'll quickly make out traces of the stop-start post-hardcore sounds of bands like Shudder to Think and June of 44. The guitars ring with that kind of off-kilter technicality and the vocalists shout with an emotionally charged cry."-BrooklynVegan.com
