The Cooperative Big Band is the chance for graduating students of the Jazz Composition Department to get big band pieces performed and recorded for their graduation requirements. This will be a fun recital full of great music.

An extremely talented jazz orchestra will be performing a culmination of works written/composed/arranged by Berklee jazz composition senior Kamal Ghammache-Mansour. Other composers featured include Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, and many others. Combining jazz, hip-hop, rock, Latin, and fun (to name a few), this is an orchestra you won't wanna miss!
Join us for the annual Jazz Composition Department's spring concert event. It features the compositions of six faculty composers orchestrated for a 10-piece faculty ensemble. This semester's composers are Winnie Dahlgren, Scott Free, Jeff Friedman, Darrell Katz, Richard Lowell, and Jackson Schultz.
Featured soloists are Greg Hopkins (trumpet), Daniel Ian Smith (alto and soprano sax, flute), Bob Patton (tenor sax), Bruce Thomas (piano), and Scott Free (guitar).
Other performers include Casey Brefka (lead trumpet), Bob Pilkington (trombone), Ben Whiting (baritone sax), Winnie Dahlgren (vibes), Mark Poniatowski (bass), and Bob Tamagni (drums).
