Bogart at Berklee is a stand-up comedy showcase series hosted by Kevin Seefried and produced by live entertainment promoter Bogart LA. Accomplished musician and Berklee alumnus George Woods serves as the house band for this expertly curated stand-up comedy showcase which brings a variety of comedic voices and styles to the stage. Each month the lineup features some of the best comics in Boston along with special guests from out of town.
This evening’s showcase will feature Ryan Donahue (co-host of “Strange Behavior” in Cambridge), Emily Ruskowski (Women in Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival), Steve McConnon, Dan Boulger (Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham), Alingon Mitra (winner of the 2013 Boston Comedy Festival), Bret Ossinoff (co-host of the David Loses His Virginity podcast and of “Sex Funeral” in New York City), and Tim Dillon (host of “Love, Poverty, and War” in New York City).
Fred Armisen is best known for his work as a cast member on Saturday Night Live from 2002 until 2013 and for his work as the co-creator and co-star of the IFC sketch comedy series Portlandia, which earned him an Emmy Award nomination in 2012 for "Outstanding Writing in a Variety Series." He also founded ThunderAnt.com, a website that features comedy sketches created with Carrie Brownstein. This performance will showcase Armisen's many comedic and musical talents and will include an appearance from one of Armisen's most beloved characters, "Ian Rubbish," the frontman for the Brit-punk band known as "the Bizarros."
