Berklee College of Music is proud to present Boston Rocks, a benefit featuring Steve Oristaglio and Berklee’s Full Circle Band, introducing Samantha Schultz and David Stewart, and with special guest Rhythm of the Universe, a musical collaboration of musicians from 90 different countries.
Boston Rocks will benefit Berklee’s City Music program, offered to children in grades 4-12 from underserved communities in Boston. With your support, students will have access to rigorous, tuition-free music education, summer music programs, and college readiness studies. The most exceptional students are awarded full scholarships to Berklee when they graduate from high school. Together we can help change kids' lives through music.
Berklee's 18th annual Encore Gala returns with a reception, dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment featuring 150 musicians and acclaimed recording artists the Family Stone. Other performers include the Berklee Salsa Ensemble and the Scratch Ambassadors.
The presenting sponsor is Bain Capital Children's Charity Ltd. with lead sponsor Abrams Capital. All proceeds benefit the Berklee City Music Program, a non-profit education program that harnesses the energy of contemporary music to reach underserved students in grades 4 through 12.
Students from the Stax Music Academy, a Berklee City Music Network member, celebrate the 40th anniversary of Wattstax and City Music's upcoming 20th in this very special summer concert. Gospel Grammy-winner Kirk Whalum will be performing with the students as a special guest.
