The Composition Department presents its annual playoff concert of the finalist graduation marches for the Spring 2012 Commencement ceremony. After the marches have all been played, the audience and players alike cast votes to determine a winner.
The ABCs of Jazz program takes the audience on an encyclopedic tour through the world of jazz, covering almost every major style, artist or composition from A (Armstrong) to Z (Zawinul).
The ABCs of Jazz Orchestra is a big-band ensemble comprised of Berklee faculty, students, alumni, and local professional musicians from the New England region. The group is directed by and features the arrangements and compositions of Berklee faculty member and trumpeter Brian Lewis.

Phil Wilson presents the Berklee Rainbow Band in A Lifetime of Great Music. The Berklee Rainbow Band remains one of the premier college show bands worldwide. Trumpet player Thomas Brennan presents the culmination of everything he has experienced while being at Berklee and the Jazz & Rock Schule in Freiburg—with everything from hip-hop to jazz, and special guest Dan Htoo-Levine on vocals. The Omar Thomas Large Ensemble is an 18-piece ensemble comprised of Boston's best up-and-coming young jazz talents. The group performs modern big band compositions and arrangements of Thomas, a Berklee faculty member and award-winning composer. The Omar Thomas Large Ensemble will be performing new works in addition to pieces from their forthcoming album, "I Am."
