Berklee Performance Center
Guitarist and vocalist Eric Normand, a 1989 Berklee alumnus and author of The Nashville Musician’s Survival Guide, presents a clinic that offers an informative peek behind the curtain of Music City. Normand has covered quite a bit of ground since his arrival in Nashville in 2002. The list of artists he has worked with during his whirlwind Nashville adventure includes Toby Keith, Jamey Johnson, and Vern Gosdin. In this clinic, Normand will share insights from his book about the Nashville music industry, from recording, touring, and songwriting to working on a national tour and building the relationships needed to succeed in Music City.
Normand has performed in every state in the continental U.S., and he has also performed in Canada, Europe and at the Grand Ole Opry on numerous occasions. He has licensed his original music to film and television and is the host of the bimonthly Nashville Berklee Jam, a pay-it-forward event for aspiring music industry professionals. Normand is currently working on an album of his own material and can be seen performing in and around Nashville with his band, Skinny Buddha.
