The PAN School of Music was founded in 1985 as an all-round popular music school for future vocalists, players, composers, recording engineers, producers and other music professionals. PAN hosts a series of Berklee scholarship auditions each year, and many PAN alumni have won scholarships and traveled to Boston to study at Berklee.
Courses of Study
Two-year full-time course: majors include Instrumental Performance, Vocal Performance, Arranging and Composition, Electronic and Computer Music, Engineering and Mixing, Music Production.
One-year concentrated course: majors include Vocal and Instrumental Performance, Arranging and Composition. The concentrated course is for classic music college students (night school).
Faculty
Most PAN faculty members are active professional musicians, many of whom received their formal training at Berklee.
Location
PAN is located a few blocks from Shinjuku, which is the new city center of Tokyo. The school is also very close to Shibuya and Harajuku.
