Review the sessions and see the schedule for the 2007 BIN Faculty Development Week.
From June 18 to June 22, 2007, the Office of International Programs will host its eighth BIN Faculty Development Sessions, a biennial development workshop for BIN faculty. Approximately 30 representatives from 10 of the 15 BIN schools plan to attend this year's event and will be housed in the 150 Massachusetts Avenue dormitory in Boston.
Since our last BIN Faculty Development Sessions in 2005, we have brought two new schools into the partnership. Instituto de Musica Contermpoanea, Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Quito, Ecuador was added in 2006 and Music Academy International in Nancy, France was added in 2007.
Our network schools are fundamental to our international recruiting efforts. They provide audition sites and support for the Berklee teams, and help organize the auditions for Admissions. Our partners also provide quality instruction, modeled on Berklee's curriculum, to aspiring Berklee students.
This year we have planned to focus on the Audition and Interview Initiative, devoting several hours to educating our BIN partners on the implementation of this initiative and how it impacts our partner schools. Three sessions will include topics such as Performance Standards and Training Audition Teams, Implications of Auditioning and Interviewing Every Student, and Mock Audition and Evaluations of Pre-recorded Auditions.
Other session topics will include:
