Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, Tel Aviv, Israel
Founded in 1985, the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music signaled the beginning of a new phase in Israeli musical life. Israel's only educational institution teaching modern-day jazz, R&B, bebop, rock and pop, Rimon provides to its 300 students the knowledge and experience of its 47 faculty members. Today, many of the Israeli pop world's most accomplished professionals are former Rimon students and graduates.
Rimon's Three-Year Program
Combining theory with hands-on experience that includes ensemble playing, Rimon offers students a choice of majors in one of the following fields: Composition and Arranging, Jazz Performance, General Performance, Film Scoring, Music Production and Engineering, Music Education (B.Ed degree in cooperation with the Levinsky Teacher's Seminary).

Rimon sponsors four annual competitions:
- Jazz Player of the Year Competition
- Instrument and MIDI Competition
- Singing and Arrangement Competition
- Orchestration Competitions for Chamber Group and Symphony Orchestra
Guest Artist Workshops
Every year, Rimon brings internationally known musicians to Israel to give workshops. Recent clinicians include Kenny Werner, Frank Gambale, Airto Moreira, Jeff Berlin, Lew Soloff, Donald Byrd, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Sheila Jordan, Dave Liebman, Didier Lockwood, Bobby McFerrin and Pat Metheny.
The Berklee Credit Transfer Agreement
Rimon has an credit transfer agreement with Berklee College of Music, allowing Rimon students who complete two years of study in Israel to enroll at Berklee in the third year of Berklee's four-year Bachelor of Music Degree program.
