Berklee College of Music invites nominations and applications for a full-time faculty position in the Film Scoring Department. Reporting to the Chair of the Film Scoring Department, this faculty member will focus on teaching, building curriculum, and collaborating in the enhancement of lab facilities for the study of composition, production, and integration of music for video games and other visual media. The start date for this position is September 1, 2008.
Berklee College of Music is the only college in the world that offers an undergraduate degree in film scoring. Over 250 students currently pursue the Film Scoring major and benefit from the tutorship of eight full-time faculty members, several part-time instructors, and the department’s chair and assistant chair, all of whom are experienced industry professionals. In addition, students take “concentrate courses” from adjunct faculty and members of Berklee’s Composition Department. The Film Scoring
Department’s comprehensive program offers students the opportunity for individual, hands-on study in film music composition, orchestration, MIDI sequencing, conducting to picture, and digital music editing for film, television, and other visual media. The Film Scoring facilities include a dedicated set of classrooms and technology labs with state-of-the-art software and hardware, as well as a scoring studio complex with “live” scoring-to-picture capabilities and two fully integrated digital audio/video post-production suites. Six staff members, including two recording engineers, provide technological support and management of these facilities, along with student assistance.

Berklee College of Music invites nominations and applications for the position of Associate Vice President for Enrollment, a newly created position.
Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Berklee College of Music is the world's largest independent music college and the premier institution for the study of contemporary music. The diverse Berklee community consists of 3,850 students, 500 faculty, and 400 staff, who interact in an environment designed to provide the most complete learning experience possible, including all of the opportunities and challenges presented by a career in contemporary music.
An important component of Berklee’s strategic plan, Vision 2015, has been the development of a new approach to admissions and financial aid. The new, more rigorous selection process balances motivation, musical and intellectual potential, accomplishment and training with the ability to succeed at Berklee. In addition, the new enrollment strategy calls for significantly more scholarship support to make Berklee affordable and accessible to exceptional students. These new strategies have yielded record numbers of applications and an increase in yield and retention. In addition, the diversity of the student body continues to climb and total scholarship aid in the past three years has gone from $9 million to $19 million.
Berklee is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to serve as Associate Vice President for Enrollment. The new AVP will join an exciting executive team and will provide leadership, vision, planning, and management expertise critical to the college’s future. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, the AVP for Enrollment will oversee admissions, financial aid, registrar, scholarships, and student employment and will bring enrollment management at Berklee to the next level by improving admissions systems, enhancing the strategic use of financial aid, integrating enrollment functions, and strengthening the enrollment management team through mentoring and professional development. |

The Associate Vice President will be a proven leader and change agent, skilled in quantitative methods of analysis and masterful at building collaborative relationships to enhance enrollment efforts within the enrollment team and College community. The ideal candidate will be drawn to Berklee’s unique mission, will have a passion for arts colleges, and an entrepreneurial approach.
