Scholarships in Honor of Four Living Legends

Berklee College of Music is proud of four special endowed funds created to recognize talented young students and four living legends. The Avedis Zildjian Company established these funds in honor of Louie Bellson, Elvin Jones, Roy Haynes and Max Roach in conjunction with their 375th anniversary in September of 1998. The students helped by these funds are testimonials to the musical contributions by these giants in the drumming world.

This endowed fund will make annual scholarship awards to students enrolled at Berklee College of Music in perpetuity. The Scholarship Committee and the academic departments select students who receive this award. The honorees have chosen how to award the scholarship in their name.
