"Before I became assistant chair, I taught mostly in the Woodwind Department. My instrument is saxophone—primarily alto saxophone—but I also play some clarinet and flute. I teach two or three ensembles and a recital workshop course. I really love teaching and working with students. I feel that there is a specific reason for every student to be here at Berklee, and they're looking for faculty who can help them develop the skills they need to be successful. So, it is important to help them connect with faculty who can help them reach their goals."
"Every student has this gift within them, but they may have difficulty expressing their gift. So, starting with the idea that students need help finding that mode of expression, we help them connect with teachers who really have a passion for helping the students find their inner voice."
