Berklee's newly renovated Library maintains a collection of 20,000 books, 17,000 scores, 6,000 lead sheets, and a number of music-related periodicals. There are two floors which encompass the book stacks, Stan Getz Media Center and Library, and study rooms as well as the college's archive of historic memorabilia.
The library acquires materials to support the curriculum, as well as to address needs for reference, independent study, and recreational reading and listening. The special emphasis of the collection is on Berklee's central study areas: jazz, pop, rock, classical music and film; music production and recording; film and video; and technological applications of music to the music industry, including the use of computers and synthesizers. Please browse through the Berklee Online Library to get a better idea of the college's holdings.
