Summer Residential Internship Program in New York City Overview

Berklee College of Music is excited to announce that the college has begun offering a residential Summer Internship Program in New York City. The program provides students an opportunity to gain professional experience in their chosen field. In addition to interning, students are required to attend weekly workshops led by notable professionals employed in the New York music industry. Both the internships and workshops are a great opportunity to learn from and network with music industry insiders. This internship program is an excellent way for students to spend a summer discovering the NY scene, making connections in the field, and applying what they have learned in the classroom into the job setting, all while remaining a part of the Berklee community.

Furnished dorm-style housing is provided for students by the college at Educational Housing Service's Saint George Weller building in Brooklyn Heights. Brooklyn Heights is not only a great neighborhood, but it is also just one subway stop from Manhattan, making the location extremely convenient. The subway entrance is located just outside the Saint George Weller building. Each student shares (with one other student) a fully furnished one-bedroom, one-bathroom dorm-style room. A full kitchen is available in the building, but each individual room includes a microwave and refrigerator. Utilities are included in the housing package, including internet, cable TV, and local phone service. To learn more about the housing facility, visit the St. George Weller site.
