DC Wonder began in fall 2011 as an electro/pop co-writing project between lead vocalist/guitarist Gene Shinozaki and bassist Frank Watkoskey.

After rehearsal difficulties due to the large number of members of the group that winter, the band dissolved. Gene, Frank, and Lyle decided to restart the band as a three-piece the following summer. In 2012, they released their debut album, Limitless, and relentlessly toured New England and the East Coast. The band is expected to release its upcoming album, titled Evolve, in summer 2013.
