Originally from the Netherlands, Vivienne Aerts lives in Boston and studies at Berklee College of Music. Her teachers include renowned jazz artists such as Danilo Perez, Joe Lovano, John Patitucci, and Ed Saindon. Her music takes influence from Ella, Duke, and Miles.

Being occasionally uncategorizable, Aerts is more than a composer and singer. The flow of her music creates an intimate connection with the audience. She has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Lee Konitz, Joe Cohn, and Florian Weber. In 2009 she released her first album, Roofgarden, and in 2012, Polaroid, a snappy jazz a cappella EP recorded with Australian electronic producer Geoff Baker.
