talYtali at the Kennedy Center
talYtali are Tal Even-Tzur and Tali Rubinstein, two unconventional Israeli musicians. Their original instrumentation and musical aesthetics stand out in the global jazz music scene. Tal and Tali’s music, heavily influenced by Israeli traditional songs and by their own classical backgrounds, is complex yet accessible. It puts strong rhythms alongside simple, beautiful melodies.
Tal and Tali's album was produced by world-renowned, multiple-grammy-winning Spanish producer Javier Limon. Tal and Tali also arranged and played on Limon's latest album, Promesas De Tierra, which featured several the pair and several other musicians from Berklee's Mediterranean Music Institute.
They will be performing with Layth Sidiq on violin, Joseph Cleveland on bass, and Naseem Alatrash on cello. This performance is part of the Kennedy Center Conservatory Project.
