Yonit Spiegelman

The 25-year-old singer-songwriter and bassist Yonít Spiegelman and her band create original music inspired by Irish melody lines in an intimate environment of acoustic instruments, touching lyrics, and tasteful simplicity.

Karamel Day

Karamel Day, led by Dana Protsenko, draws mainly from the rich history of jazz but with a contemporary stylistic fusion of popular music. The group has performed at the Lily Pad, the Middle East, All-Asia Bar, the Cantab Lounge, Berklee Performance Center, and the Red Room at Café 939.

C-bass' Infinity Band is an improvisational group led by percussionist and composer Santiago Sebastian "C-bass" Chiriboga. The group combines music with visual arts, dance, speech, and theatre.

Josh Shpak

With a rich style evident of influences from classic jazz to electronica, trumpeter Josh Shpak has made himself a commodity in the music world. This cross-generational quality has launched a career playing with jazz heavyweights such as Cedar Walton and Jimmy Heath, soul legends Tower of Power, and young crossover innovators like Esperanza Spalding, Christian Scott, and John Daversa.

The Maniacs of the 4th Dimension

The Maniacs of the 4th Dimension, led by Davis Whitfield on piano, is a collective of creative individuals who share an interest in the Fourth Dimension. In trio, quartet, quintet, and sextet formats, the Maniacs offer a unique presentation of timeless standards and original jazz compositions.

Fabio Rojas Trio

Hailing from Valencia, Venezuela, Rojas began his musical studies with drums at the age of 13. By 19, he was playing with the most acclaimed and recognized jazz musicians in Venezuela, such as Pablo Gil, Diego Alvarez, and Gonzalo Mico. Rojas has performed at numerous venues and events since coming to Boston, including Symphony Hall, TEDx Boston, the Berklee Middle Eastern Festival, and the Esplanade.

Tomas Latorre Quartet

Tomas Latorre Quartet started playing together in fall 2013. With Josh Plotner on sax and flute, Evan Waarama on piano, and Tiago Michelin on drums, the group is led by Tomas Latorre on bass. They play an array of Latin music, mostly Latorre's original compositions blended with jazz and modern sounds.

Jan Esbra Quartet

The Jan Esbra Quartet plays original compositions of all the band members. Originating in the fall of 2011, the Jan Esbra Quartet has recorded in the Berklee studios and performed in and around Boston.

Simon Moullier Trio

Simon Moullier Trio is centered on jazz but uses it only as a color in the sound via acoustic instruments. The group is sometimes sullied by the effects on vibraphone or by the mad, itching rhythms of Simon’s main influences: Thom York, Steve Reich, Tygran Hamasyan, John Coltrane, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Kenny Garrett, Robert Glasper, Archive, and Pink Floyd.

Amethyst

CANCELED: This event has been canceled or postponed. The members of Amethyst have joined their love of contemporary jazz, acoustic pop, and various Latin genres with skill and taste. Each unique voice enriches improvisational arcs throughout every performance. Featuring Raquel Rivera’s originals as well as collaborative cover arrangements, this group delivers accessible interpretations of human feeling.
