Ninety miles is the distance between Miami and Havana, the closest points in the United States and Cuba. The album, Ninety Miles, was recorded in Havana, Cuba as an artistic effort to bridge that distance and to emphasize the musical, cultural, and historical kinships between the two nations. This collaborative project brought together the immense talents of vibraphonist Stefon Harris, saxophonist David Sanchez, and now trumpeter Nicholas Payton.
