Accompanied by Berkleeā€™s Indian Music Ensemble, the performance will focus on nritta (footwork/movements) and nritya (facial expression) to narrate the beautiful language of the Indian classical dance tradition. The ensemble will explore music from India, lush vocal arrangements, and an eclectic blend of traditional (Carnatic and Hindustani) music, folk songs, and contemporary Indian music as well as Western instrumentation.
