Listen to the music of more than 150 exceptional faculty and student performers and mingle with special guests at Berklee's biggest party. Held annually for the past 14 years, the evening features live and silent auctions, including unique only-through-Berklee celebrity experiences and vacation packages, musical equipment, tickets to sporting and music events, and much more. All proceeds benefit the Berklee City Music Program.

Berklee's 2008 Free Summer Concert Series
Eleonora Bianchini

Originally from Perugia, Italy, Eleonora Bianchini is a young singer whose voice creates a warm and charming atmosphere. She is inspired by many Brazilian and Latin American artists, including Rosa Passos, Caetano Veloso, Mayte Martin, and Eva Ayllón. Bianchini has collaborated with artists and Berklee faculty members such as Oscar Stagnaro, Leo Blanco, and Dan Moretti, and has recorded with Danilo Perez's big band project. She is currently the lead vocalist of Peru Mestizo Project with bandleader Oscar Stagnaro, and recently recorded a project that features her own compositions in different South American styles, with lyrics in English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian.

Tips for Singers Book Release Concert

Singer/songwriter Carolyn Wilkins will present a concert to celebrate the release of her new book, Tips for Singers. Published by Berklee Press, Carolyn's new book is the perfect complement to books about singing technique. Designed to assist singers in any style of music, Tips for Singers offers advice on developing stage presence, choosing songs, understanding musical notation, finding the best key for your voice, choosing microphones and PA systems, overcoming stage fright, doing your best at auditions, and many other topics. Assisted by an all-star cast of Berklee faculty, Carolyn will perform an eclectic mix of original compositions, jazz standards, and African American spirituals. In addition, Carolyn will demonstrate some of the techniques described in Tips for Singers and answer questions from the audience.

Psychedelia! '66-'68 presents
The Fab Faux

The Fab Faux celebrates its 10th anniversary with PSYCHEDELIA!—a performance of the Beatles' Psychedelic Years. The band has put on this show only once before, at New York's historic Radio City Music Hall.
Critics have described the Fab Faux as nothing less than "brilliant" (Associated Press), tackling the Beatles' "most complex studio work without breaking a sweat" (New York Times), and re-creating albums "few would dare play live" (New York Post).
Tickets go on sale August 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m.

John Baboian Quartet

The John Baboian Quartet features Baboian on guitar, Daniel Ian Smith on woodwinds, Bruce Gertz on bass, and Larry Finn on drum set. The quartet plays mainstream and contemporary jazz and Latin music, mainly composed by Baboian but with a few choice standards. The members have performed around the world with a variety of great musicians.
