Milad Zendehnam's musical journey began at the age of 11, when he began to study piano under the instructions of his uncle, Farnoosh Behzad. However, his true passion for music originated when he discovered the electric guitar at age 15. He curiousity and eagerness to learn persisted and he went on to earn a bachelor's degree in music from the Azad Art University of Tehran. While at the university, his love for music broadened, allowing him to explore traditional Persian music. Zendehnam took this excitement to another level by studying a variety of Persian string instruments. He is a former instructor at Art University of Tehran. He has also performed with variety of musical groups in and outside of Iran.
Zendehnam's experimental unique style fuses traditional Persian music with jazz, blues, rock, and funk. This has given him the opportunity to be versatile in his performances, teaching, and learning style. Zendehnam is focusing on the engagements of the language of music and our daily behaviors, which are the reflection of our cultures, society, and the environment that we learned from and are living in.
