Matthew Azrieli is a singer-songwriter studying at the Berklee College of Music. Originally from Montreal, he was first inspired by Elliott Smith and Nick Drake and taught himself the guitar by writing his own songs. Critics have described his voice as “a buttery, low register that cradles the songs as it paints his original words.” Though initially successful on YouTube, Azrieli, now 18, is promoting his first release, an album which the online magazine IX Daily says “displays his serious talent for songwriting.” Azrieli hones a unique brand of  classically inspired indie-folk.
