Joined by acoustic guitar maker Jack O'Brien, Berklee faculty member Jane Miller will perform on different guitars and present a clinic on guitar care and maintenance. Miller is a guitarist, composer, and arranger with roots in both the jazz and contemporary acoustic guitar worlds. She is a featured guitarist in noted jazz journalist Scott Yanow’s 2013 book The Great Jazz Guitarists: A Complete Guide. The Jane Miller Group has released three CDs. Her fourth CD, which is her first solo guitar recording, called Three Sides to a Story, was released in June 2013. Her book, Intro to Jazz Guitar: A Guide for Guitarists of All Styles, will be released in early 2015 by Berklee Press and distributed by Hal Leonard.

Miller has performed in New England and around the country. In addition to leading her own jazz instrumental quartet, she is in a working chamber jazz trio with saxophonist Cercie Miller and bassist David Clark, for which she contributes many compositions. She has traveling and recording with the internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter SONiA, of the band Disappear Fear.

Miller is a contributing editor to Acoustic Guitar magazine, and is a former columnist for Premier Guitar magazine. She has also written for Mel Bay publishing company’s online magazine, GuitarSessions.com, and the Berklee Guitar Department's magazine, Open Position.

In 1994, Miller joined Berklee's Guitar Department faculty and is currently an associate professor. She has contributed many arrangements for solo guitar to the Guitar Department library, and has performed solo recitals and concerts with her group in the Berklee Performance Center and recital halls.

Miller is a jazz guitar instructor for jamplay.com, for which she has recorded over 65 video lessons and does live on-camera chats for students each week.
