Jacinta Clusellas Group
Since Jacinta Clusellas arrived at Berklee College of Music, she has been performing with musicians from all around the world, participating in many ensembles, recitals, recording sessions, and concerts inside and outside the school. She performs in different styles and brings together jazz and Argentinean folkloric music. She performed at the Boston Book Festival, the Fall 2012 Convocation Concert, Women Musicians Network Concert, and Women of the World: “Koloro”, sharing the stage with professional female musicians from all around the world.
In spring 2013, Clusellas received the John LaPorta Award from the performance division for outstanding musicianship. She is currently majoring in performance and contemporary writing and production, and she has been studying with Mick Goodrick, Jim Kelly, Mark White, Tim Miller, Ed Tomassi, Neal Smith, Leo Blanco, Annette Philip, David Gilmore, David Johnson, Bruno Raberg, and many other inspiring teachers.
Jacinta Clusellas Group brings together sounds from Argentina in a unique, contemporary context, combining Latin grooves with jazz influences. This group will present a collection of original compositions and arrangements. The band features an international cast that includes some of the most exciting young talents at Berklee.
