Welcome to Berklee's High School Jazz Festival Online Registration System
Dear High School Band Director,
We would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to Berklee College of Music’s 42nd Annual High School Jazz Festival! Every year we are impressed by the extraordinary talent of instrumental and vocal ensembles from all over the country.
The festival will take place on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. Following the awards ceremony, there will be an evening showcase featuring performances by the first-place winners of the large ensemble and vocal ensemble categories. Individual student scholarship audition slots are also available the day of the festival at Berklee’s Genko Uchida Building at 921 Boylston Street.
Please visit the High School Jazz Festival website, berklee.edu/events/hsjazzfest, to find all pertinent information for this year’s festival. All registrations must be received by the registration coordinator no later than Friday, October 30, 2009. Receipt of materials by this date does not guarantee a performance spot at the festival. We recommend that you complete your online registration as soon as possible.
When registering for the festival, you have the choice of performing in competing or non-competing classes. Schools may register one ensemble in each category. Upon request and if space permits, a second group may be added as non-competing at the discretion of the festival committee. However, we suggest you plan your participation based on one group per category.
New this year! For the first time, we are using an online system to register all ensembles. Please follow the instructions on this website to create an account and register. We would appreciate your feedback in this new process. Before registering, be sure to read all of the festival ground rules below.
