Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival Gary Burton
Gary Burton, a Grammy Award-winning vibraphone player, has received a total of 15 Grammy nominations. DownBeat magazine gave him their "Jazzman of the Year" award in 1968, making him the youngest artist ever to receive that honor. Burton studied at the Berklee College of Music for two consecutive years, and afterward started worked with George Shearing and, later, Stan Getz. Currently, Burton is touring this year in Europe and the United States, and will be releasing his second CD, Guided Tour, with the New Gary Burton Quartet, this August.
