Boston, MA, 02111
First Night Boston, Berklee College of Music, and 91.9 WUMB present Nathan Reich and Emily Elbert at the Modern Theatre in downtown Boston. Reich '09 will be opening the evening with Keenan O'Meara, and Elbert '11 will be headlining with Josh Hari and Nick Falk. WUMB will be broadcasting and webcasting Elbert's concert live.
San Francisco native Nathan Reich earned the nickname "Thumb Kid" while studying at Berklee for his unique style of playing guitar predominately with his thumb. He has released three records, Paper Planes, Arms Around A Ghost, and All Night Pharmacy. He is currently touring the East Coast with his most recent release.
At 23, nomadic soul songstress Emily Elbert has performed over 500 shows throughout the U.S. and around the world, including in 13 different countries from Peru to Palestine. A native Texan and graduate of Berklee College of Music, Elbert is known for her rhythmic guitar chops, soulful original tunes, and her unique interpretations of classic blues, rock, and pop songs. The Boston Folk Festival notes, "Emily is among the most glowing of the upcoming generation of American singer-songwriters, if 'upcoming' even applies to this phenom any longer."
