Berklee presidential scholar Erena Terakubo was born in Sapporo, Japan on April 30, 1992. She has played with Michel Camilo, Terri Lyne Carrington, Ron Carter, Jimmy Cobb, Herbie Hancock, Omar Hakim, Anthony Jackson, Tiger Okoshi, and more.

She recorded her first album, North Bird, with Kenny Barron, Christian McBride, Lee Pearson, and Peter Bernstein. In April 2012, Erena recorded her second album, New York Attitude, with Kenny Barron, Ron Carter, Lee Pearson, and Dominick Farinacci.
