Berklee Summer Concert SeriesJulia Easterlin
Julia Easterlin is a vocalist, songwriter, and performer from Augusta, Georgia. As a secondary student, Easterlin attended Davidson Fine Arts School where she received training in dance, classical piano, acting, and visual arts, until commiting to studies as a vocalist and performing musician in 2005.
Since then, Easterlin's talents as a performer and songwriter have been recognized by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, the Gibson/Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensembles, DownBeat, the John Lennon Foundation, and the New York Songwriters Circle.
In 2007, Easterlin was awarded a full-tuition merit scholarship to attend Berklee, where she has been a featured performer on the student-run Heavy Rotation Records record label for two consecutive years and served as the vocalist for the InterArts Ensemble's pioneer project in Havana, Cuba in 2010. This is Easterlin's second year representing Berklee in the Summer Concert Series.
