Women's History Month Breakfast featuring guest speaker/faculty member, Carolyn Wilkins, and performance by Women of the World.

Carolyn Wilkins: professor of ensembles at Berklee/guest speaker, jazz pianist, vocalist, composer, and author. Her performance experience includes radio and television appearances with her group Spirit Jazz, a concert tour of South America as a jazz ambassador for the U.S. State Department, performances as a percussionist with the Pittsburgh Symphony under Andre Previn and in shows featuring Melba Moore, Nancy Wilson, and the Fifth Dimension. She has released four critically acclaimed CDs of her original compositions as well as several books including her latest memoir, Damn Near White: An African American Family's Rise from Slavery to Bittersweet Success.

Women of the World:  ensemble of innovative women from Japan, India, Italy, Greece/Brazil, and the United States. The five core singers and their diverse band create rich tapestries of culture and sounds as they perform both original and traditional songs from all around the world. Embracing and celebrating the beauty of diversity, the ensemble is living proof that different cultures can coexist in harmony and that the world is more powerful when united.
