Dayramir Gonzalez began studying piano at the age of 8 in Havana, Cuba. While in high school, he worked professionally with Diakara, created by master percussionist Oscar Valdez. With Habana enTRANCE, he has performed in Cuba, Tenerife, Mexico, and Spain. In 2006 he won the international JoJazz contest and recorded his first album, Dayramir and Habana EnTRANCE, which was released on the Cuban label Colibri. El Pais called him "undoubtedly one of the pianists who lead the ship of the young generation of jazz pianists in Cuba and around the world." Since his arrival at Berklee in September 2010 on a full scholarship, Gonzalez has performed with Larry Harlow, Ignacio Berroa, Eddie Palmieri, Raul Pineda, Jimmy Branly, and Chad Sexton.
