Over the Rhine

The Long Surrender, the new studio album from the southern Ohio-based husband-and-wife team of multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Linford Detweiler and vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Karin Bergquist, otherwise known as Over the Rhine, is something rare and wondrous: an intimate epic.

Daniel Harper hails from Greenville, South Carolina, where he first developed his singer-songwriter skills into his own brand of folk/western meets R&B/soul. His engaging stage presence frequently draws comparisons to legends from Elvis Presley to Bruce Springsteen. Harper also possesses a keen sense for story-telling, reminiscent of Tom Waits or Bob Dylan. He has warmed the rooms of tiny venues and he has captivated a full stadium at Fenway Park. Whether in the studio or on the stage, he consistently charms his listeners, and has developed a rapidly growing fan base in the both the southeastern region and the New England states.
