Berklee students perform the musical Ragtime, with a book by Terrence McNally, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, and music by Stephen Flaherty. Based on the novel by E.L. Doctorow, Ragtime tells the story of three groups in the United States, represented by a Harlem musician, a WASP matriarch, and a Latvian Jewish immigrant. Historical figures such as Harry Houdini, Booker T. Washington, J.P. Morgan, Henry Ford, and Emma Goldman also appear. The music includes marches, cakewalks, gospel, and, of course, ragtime.

Can't make it to the show? Berklee is teaming with Concert Window to broadcast live streams of this and other Berklee shows.
